The 10 October is World Mental Health Day. First celebrated in 1992 as an initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, it’s a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. The 2023 Theme is Mental health is a universal human right.

And that’s one positive outcome from the pandemic: that mental health is finally being taken more seriously—with less stigma. And while we need (a lot) more done by our governments and health care systems, it’s easier than ever before to talk about issues with our mental health.
